A walk through the session

Physio Athlete

STEP 1 |
INITIAL INTERVIEW

The first step will be a face-to-face contact in which the physiotherapist will guide you through a series of questions aimed at identifying everything that is relevant to the diagnosis and treatment. In addition, personal data will be collected for the preparation of a clinical history, in case it is your first session.

STEP 2 |
PHYSICAL EXAMINATION

Let's get down to work! The physiotherapist will ask you to perform different movements or "tests", as well as using their hands as a way of identifying your symptoms and establishing treatment.

STEP 3 |
ULTRASOUND EXAMINATION

In certain cases, an ultrasound examination will be performed to assist in the diagnosis of the lesion.

STEP 4 |
TREATMENT

Finally, we treat the problem with the different tools available to us: manual therapy, invasive therapy and therapeutic exercise. In some cases only one of the tools will be applied and in others a combination of all of them, depending on the previous assessment.

Manuel was excellent. He went through a number of causes which may have been the problem. Eliminating them one at a time. He then went on to give me treatment. The pain has now been reduced. Hopefully another visit may cure problem completely.

Manu provided the physio and rehab for my 78 year old mother following complicated pelvic surgery. His care, attention to detail and clinical skills are excellent. He was committed to being on the journey to recovery with my Mum and under his guidance she has recovered much faster than expected. Manu has perfect English and I would 100% recommend him.

Manu is a very experienced physio with fantastic equipment with an impeccably clean treatment room. With my most recent injury, he used ultrasound to scan my shoulder to identify the problem tendon and then treated it via activating the tendon with current and then stimulated the muscle around the area. This is in addition to the traditional treatment of massage and strengthening exercises. I would highly recommend his work. Steve
